THE COURAGE TO ACT

St. Edward High School, a Catholic school in the Holy Cross tradition, educates the minds and hearts of young men to have the competence to see and the courage to act as men of faith.

The Courage to Act Campaign has been years in the making. The Campaign is the result of a recent strategic planning process, spearheaded by President Jim Kubacki and the Board of Trustees, one that considered what St. Edward must do to capitalize on all of the school’s positive momentum.

To continue this growth, the strategic plan identified several needs: construction and renovation of spaces for hospitality and innovation, as well as strengthening our endowment to support need-based financial aid and continued faculty and staff development. Addressing these needs will require $22 million. Making these investments now will ensure that young men benefit from our unique brand of Holy Cross education for generations to come.

St. Edward has been precise when prioritizing the needs of the community, focusing on our Holy Cross heritage, and seeking always to innovate. Those priorities were evident in 2008 as we dedicated both the Holy Family Chapel and the Joseph & Helen Lowe Center – two spaces that speak very clearly to our commitment to Holy Cross values and cutting-edge innovation. We are once again poised to make another public statement that speaks to our commitment to Holy Cross hospitality and forward- thinking academic and extracurricular programming, as well as work to ensure affordability for all qualified students who seek a St. Edward education.

You are challenged to act courageously, to support a brotherhood we care deeply about and make St. Ed’s the innovative, affordable and welcoming home we all love.
