On September 29, 2016, we publicly announced the launch of The Courage to Act Campaign, an $18 million initiative for St. Edward High School - the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the school's 70-year history. Less than two years later, the results of that Campaign have begun to take shape as we transform our campus and our approach to better educate young men to positively impact our world.
It is with humble gratitude that I share the news that we have already surpassed our initial goal - raising $18.9 million to date! With our great success, the Board of Trustees approved a final Campaign goal of $22 million. This tremendous momentum was created from your generosity and your ability to see the impact your gift will make on the future of St. Ed's. Thank you so much for supporting the vision of The Courage to Act Campaign!
While there have been some incredible accomplishments from The Courage to Act Campaign, there remain exciting initiatives that we need to achieve before the Campaign declares victory!
As you will read in this newsletter, the expansion of the Joseph & Helen Lowe Institute for Innovation and the addition of the Ken Layden '80 Center for Entrepreneurial Solutions will be completed this summer and
open for the 2018-2019 school year. The attention of the Campaign is now focused on The Commons - the new entrance to St. Edward High School and dining facility that will be our outward expression of Holy Cross hospitality to the St. Ed's community.
At St. Ed's, we strive for excellence and we exceed expectations. With your continued support, we look ahead with great confidence. As a donor to the Courage to Act Campaign, please hold the date of August 11, 2018 for our grand opening of the newly-designed Joseph & Helen Lowe Institute for Innovation.
