The Courage to Act Campaign Exceeds Goal!

Dear St. Edward Community,
I have exciting news to share with you… Our $22 million Courage to Act Campaign has come to an amazing finish! This historic Campaign and its enormous success would not have been possible without the generous support from the entire St. Edward Community.

Our Campaign was led by Sean Hennessy ’75 along with Paul Clark ’71, Mike Carlin ’66, John Curran ’75, Mike Duffy ’82, Dan Geib ’76, Nick Gonnella, and Carol Rini. Honorary Chairs included, Phil Donahue ’53, the late Br. James Everett, C.S.C., the Late Jack Kahl ’58, and Fr. Richard Warner, C.S.C. '57. I am grateful for their leadership and support.

 

Our behalf of our Campaign Cabinet, Board of Trustees, Faculty and Staff, and Edsmen, thank you for having The Courage to Act!

St. Edward Groundbreaking Celebration: Marilyn and David '64 Palisin Commons

On June 8, 2019, St. Edward High School broke ground on the $7 million Marilyn and David Palisin ’64 Commons. The campus’ newest addition is being named after the Palisins who made the lead gift as part of a challenge. Every new gift to the project since January, 2019 is being matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $1.5 million.


The Palisin Commons is part of a larger fundraising initiative, The Courage to Act, which is a $22 million-dollar effort that was started in 2016 and is nearly completed.

An Evening of Gratitude & Celebration

It was a historic night on Saturday, August 11 at St. Ed’s as we cut the ribbon on The Joseph & Helen Lowe Institute for Innovation! What a gift for our students who will be able to take advantage of 28,000-square-feet to create, experiment, design, engineer, prototype, and launch their ideas into the world. Our students will create the future in this stunning new space.

The Courage to Act Campaign Launch September 29, 2016

On September 29, 2016, St. Edward High School announced a major initiative with the public kick off of an $18 million campaign, The Courage to Act, A Campaign for St. Edward High School.  President Jim Kubacki, along with Campaign Co-Chairs, Sean Hennessy ’75 and Paul Clark ’71 made this historic announcement in the famed St. Edward Gymnasium.  Phil Donahue, a member of St. Edward's first graduating class of 1953 and Courage to Act Campaign Honorary Co-Chair, offered a wonderful reflection on what made St. Ed’s such a special place when he was a student, and why it continues to change the lives of Edsmen of every generation.
